Sandra Wong

Sandra is an artist and illustrator from Greytown in the Wairarapa, New Zealand. She graduated from Wellington Polytechnic in 2000 with a bachelor of Design degree majoring in illustration. She is based at "Local Art" in the St John's Hall, Greytown, which is open most Sundays 10.30am - 3pm and is the founding member of the Wairarapa Art Trail called Mainartery. Sandra has participated in many group and solo shows with the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts since 1996, her most recent solo exhibition with the Academy was in 2010.
Sandra is best known for her intensely coloured acrylic paintings of local flora and fauna, her popular owl paintings, limited edition black and white reproductions and purple people and portraits. She has works in private collections in New Zealand and overseas.
